IC 555 Monostable Calculator

555 Timer Calculator

This page is very useful when creating 555 timer circuits. it will allow you to calculate the frequency and duty cycle.

Monostable 555 Timeout Calculator

This calculator software will help you to calculate the timeout value (D) for a Monostable 555 Timer Circuit. When the monostable circuit is powered the output initially starts with high, the timer counts using R and C components, and as soon as the delay time elapses, the output then goes low and remains low until the power is switched ON and OFF again.

The formula used is:
Time Out Delay (secs) = 1.1 * R1 * C1

To use this calculator simply enter values for R1 and C1, then press Calculate.

REMEMBER, THE CAPACITOR MUST BE ENTERED IN FARADS.
Resistor (R1) Ohms
Capacitor (C1) Farads
Enter R1 and C1, then press Calculate

THE FOLLOWING SOFTWARE ALSO CALCULATES THE DELAY TIME FOR A IC 555 MONOSTABLE, BUT IT ALLOWS YOU TO ENTER THE CAPACITOR VALUE IN MICROFARADS

This page deals with monostable multivibrator pulse duration (i.e. width) calculator. It is 555 IC based calculator which uses the R and C values as inputs and helps you to get the pulse width or pulse period or pulse duration (Tp) as output calculation.

Resistance in KOhm (input1) :

Capacitance in µfarads (input2) :

Pulse Duration in sec(output) :

EXAMPLE:
Inputs: Resistance (R1) = 220K-Ohm, Capacitance (C1) = 1 µF
Outputs: Pulse Duration (or Pulse Width) = 0.242 second or 242 ms
